Our Board brings together a diverse range of skills and experience in wildlife care, business, law, finance, and community service. Their collective knowledge and oversight ensure that our organisation operates ethically, transparently, and in line with our mission to protect and care for Western Australia’s native wildlife.

Geoff Watson

Craig Stevens, CEO
My journey with wildlife began on my family’s farm, where a deep love for animals grew into a lifelong calling. Today, I lead a team of passionate rescuers and educators dedicated to giving vulnerable native species a second chance. Before this, I spent over two decades in executive leadership, founding and growing Australia’s largest ASIC-registered agent, serving on multiple advisory boards, and guiding businesses through mergers, governance, and market entry. I now bring that strategic and governance expertise to the rescue sector, where passion meets purpose and every effort serves a creature that cannot call for help.

Ravi Wasan, Director & Ambassador
Ravi Wasan is a passionate conservationist, avian specialist and the Director of Feathered Friends, one of Australia’s leading bird conservation and education organisations. With a career built on boots-on-the-ground experience (literally chasing black cockatoos through bushland), Ravi combines deep scientific insight with a knack for connecting people to wildlife in ways that are inspiring, practical and occasionally hilarious.
At Feathered Friends, Ravi leads conservation programs focused on threatened species, especially Black Cockatoos and has helped shape innovative approaches to avian care, free-flight conditioning and community engagement. His work spans captive breeding, rehabilitation and public education, turning complex conservation science into experiences that captivate school groups, wildlife lovers and policy makers alike.
Beyond the sanctuary gates, Ravi has achieved recognition with Commonwealth Bank Australia for his conservation leadership and community impact, a testament to his ability to bring people and wildlife together for meaningful outcomes.
Whether coaxing a wary cockatoo out of a shopping centre (true story!) or advocating for policy change, Ravi’s approach is always rooted in respect for the natural world, a bit of curiosity and a lot of patience. His career has taken him from grassroots rescue work to boards, campaigns and ambassador roles and he still believes the best way to save a species is to make people care about it.
In his role at Perth Wildlife Hospital, Ravi champions wildlife welfare, supports team development, and brings his signature blend of science, storytelling and humour to every challenge.
