Perth Wildlife Hospital is a registered not-for-profit organisation governed by a dedicated volunteer Board of Directors. Our Board brings together a diverse range of skills and experience in wildlife care, business, law, finance, and community service. Their collective knowledge and oversight ensure that our organisation operates ethically, transparently, and in line with our mission to protect and care for Western Australia’s native wildlife.

As custodians of our strategic direction and compliance, the Board plays a vital role in supporting our team, guiding sustainable growth, and upholding the values that drive everything we do.

Geoff Watson

As Proprietor of Couplers Pty Ltd, Geoff brings extensive business and operations experience to his role as a board member at Native Animal Rescue, where he began volunteering in early 2022 before joining the board in November that year. Known for his hands-on approach, whether supporting aviary cleaning or governance, he contributes a practical mindset and genuine care for wildlife. Outside of the organisation, Geoff enjoys quality time with his grandchildren, family, and friends, and can often be found cycling through remote landscapes or cheering on a good rugby match. His down-to-earth attitude, paired with decades of professional insight, makes him a valued part of the Native Animal Rescue leadership team.

Craig Stevens, CEO

My journey with wildlife began on my family’s farm, where a deep love for animals grew into a lifelong calling. Today, I lead a team of passionate rescuers and educators dedicated to giving vulnerable native species a second chance. Before this, I spent over two decades in executive leadership, founding and growing Australia’s largest ASIC-registered agent, serving on multiple advisory boards, and guiding businesses through mergers, governance, and market entry. I now bring that strategic and governance expertise to the rescue sector, where passion meets purpose and every effort serves a creature that cannot call for help.
